Key differences between 14th and 13th editions

• Period between current and previous editions: 4 years (2016 vs 2012)
• Originally published in 1943, Grant's Atlas was created for lack of the standard German anatomical atlases that were used in North America before the Second World War. The Atlas was written by Dr. John Charles Boileau Grant, an anatomist at the University of Toronto and illustrated by women working at the Department of Medical Art Service.
• The entire collection of original old illustrations was remastered and recolored using modern image processing technology.
• Fourteenth edition has additional clinical images: magnetic resonance images, computed tomography scans, and ultrasound scans.
• New clinical comments based on current research evidence and practice.
• The body regions have been reordered to match the organization of the latest edition of Grant's Dessector.
• Chapter 5 includes pelvic angiography.
