Key differences between 6th and 5th editions
- Period between current and previous publications: 4 years (2014 vs 2010).
- For the first time Blitzer's Thinking Mathematically textbook was published in 2000.
- The Sixth Ed. consists of 14 chapters, while its Fifth predecessor was of 15 chapters.
- Reorganized chapter 8 "Personal Finance" -- formerly chapter 8 "Consumer Mathematics and Financial Management".
- Two separate sections on percent, sales tax, and income tax -- 8.1 "Percent, Sales Tax, and Discounts" and 8.2 "Income Tax"
